The replicas of the “Gipsformerei” (plaster molding shop) in Berlin are of the highest quality. The cast of the “Enthroned Goddess” was probably taken from the original while it was still at the site of discovery, and the color and texture of the basalt stone were imitated with the greatest craftsmanship. Unlike the heavily scarred original, the copy conveys a simple, monumental grandeur.
